We are all about supporting spoken language so students can access science. Home to science video resources and also Concept Cat.
Yes, we sell stuff but it is a passion project first and foremost.

We created our science videos and resources after recognising as teachers that vocabulary was a major stumbling block for many of our students. We invested a lot of time (and money!) into making the animations look cool as well as being effective liftlessons.co/science-home

It's crucial that the Government gets the schools white paper right. We need more thinking around solutions for children with different types of speech and language challenges so every child can thrive.

“Lord Of The Flies” may be a classic, but it’s also a bleak statement about how humans - boys, in this case - are riddled with violent, selfish cruelty & savagery.

However, a real-life version happened in 1965 with 6 boys marooned on a deserted island in Tonga - & things went very differently!

It's almost the end of #DLDday and so here's my thread about Developmental Language Disorder.
If you don't know about DLD then this is for you.
If you know about DLD please share so more people learn about this common but widely unknown condition.
#DLDday is coming, so I’m starting a thread over a few days.

DLD (Developmental Language Disorder) is all about spoken language. Words and sentences are tricky for people with DLD. And people don’t grow out of it.

You can't see DLD (Developmental Language Disorder ) so what does it look like in the classroom?
DLD can look like ADHD but you'll also notice that children with DLD have difficulty using words and sentences and understanding, even when they are focussed.
