The Guardian reports that the bureau has launched cases in 23 regions across the U.S. related to “threats against immigration enforcement activity.” The investigations fit into the new NSPM-7 national security strategy targeting supposed anti-American activity on the left.

Climate activists aren’t backing down. They've won in court already (Held v Montana) & now they're going after Trump (Lighthiser v Trump). Let's make sure to support them in their fight to enforce climate protections and challenge fossil fuel decisions.

“The document says “indicators” that an individual may be planning to attack ICE include “stockpiling or distributing firearms”, but also “conducting online research” about agents’ movements and using encrypted messaging apps.”

Duh probably is the wrong reaction but duh.
In Iran, people who criticize the Ayatollah are arrested and often die in jail.

In Russia, criticizing Putin or any of his policies carries a 15-year term.

China convicts democracy activists of "treason."

Trump's America is preparing to prosecute protestors against his policies as "terrorists."

On the two month anniversary of my mother's death, I'm trying desperately to remember the taste of the foods she made with such genius. Today I'm trying to recreate her Guyanese chicken curry using soy curls in lieu of chicken. (Because I'm a vegetarian). Not quite there.

Guam's Attorney-General is anti-choice and has repeatedly tried to reinstate the island's abortion ban, which has an injunction against it. He asked for a rehearing at the Supreme Court, but many doctors and healthcare groups have formally opposed this, and now the Governor has too.

When the streets start telling the truth, it’s because the institutions won’t.

What’s become painfully obvious is that ICE agents aren’t trained to make us safer. They’re just recruits who thirst for power, violence, and cruelty.

Update: DOJ haw now sued 18 states.

My law firm has already filed to intervene to defend voters in 13 of the first 14 cases. We are working on the remains 5.

This is an insane effort by DOJ and we are a small firm. But we are committed to protecting free and fair elections in 2026.

More soon.
DOJ has sued Maine, Oregon, California, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington, Delaware, Maryland, New Mexico, Rhode Island, and Vermont for access to its most sensitive voter data.

My firm has moved to intervene in 10 of those cases. We are working on the last 4.
