I have written to President Trump requesting an emergency disaster declaration for Kentucky due to the severe weather and impacts across our state. The declaration would make federal funding available to affected areas, helping us better respond and support Kentuckians affected. (1/2)

We need Kentuckians to remain alert. There are more than 300 road closures, with Kentucky Transportation Cabinet leaders saying the statewide impact is historic. From mudslides in the east to snow in the west, the situation is dangerous.

My goodness was it cold in #Pittsburgh this morning, and though I enjoy this weather, -7º even had me running for the car. Still, it was worth bouncing around the city for nearly three hours, capturing the frozen rivers and then afterwards a beautiful sunrise. So many images to come.
