It's messed up.

It’s time for my annual plug for this style of tree stand. If you are still manually screwing your tree upright, I’m sorry to say that you’re a sucker.

Also: I grew up with this quilt and now it is exclusively used to transport the tree every year. It’s a good retirement for a well loved quilt.

If you haven't heard this story, you should check it out.
Police in Colorado wrongly accused a woman of stealing a $25 package off a porch.

Their rationale?

Her car was seen on a license plate reader in the town. But the town is 50 feet from her home, so of course it had been seen there.

Live your life so people don't immediately post clips like these upon hearing you've died.
Megyn Kelly on alleged war crimes: "I really do kind of not only wanna see them killed in the water, whether they're on the boat or in the water, but I'd really like to see them suffer. I would like Trump and Hegseth to make it last a long time so they lose a limb and bleed out."

Almost every week I read an email. It starts, “OMFG, proof your AI shit, do not do this!!” And then I read a horror story about someone using nonsense cites in their appellate work and they were caught by a judge.

I was putting up Christmas lights and having a hard time with the 3M strips.

So I took some of my wife’s reusable hot hands and held them to the metal before I put up the strip. Worked like a charm.

Like the CDC, the FDA has switched sides in the war on infectious disease, now siding with the diseases.

Doesn’t help that the NYT is helping these assholes to launder their disinformation.

NEW: The F.D.A. announced in an internal memo that 10 children died "because of" the Covid shot. Other experts want to see proof.

“This is a profound revelation,” Dr. Prasad's memo said. “For the first time, the U.S. F.D.A. will acknowledge that Covid-19 vaccines have killed American children.”

For the first time in 12 years I will not be cooking something random all day long while enjoying a nice whiskey.

And I don’t know how to feel about that.

But Thanksgiving is the best holiday and I hope everyone can enjoy their day.

It should be noted that gov agencies also relied upon private employees as paid snitches to obtain this information.

I am sure that those tactics will continue.
After 404 Media's months-long reporting and pressure from lawmakers, the data broker owned by the U.S.’s major airlines will now shut down a program in which it sold access to hundreds of millions of flight records to the government and let agencies track peoples’ movements without a warrant.

Police interdiction is one of those things that everyone in the country should know about.

Being stopped and invasively searched by the police isn't just an inconvenienced, it's unconstitutional. Even worse, if you have something the cops don't think you should have, they will take it from you.

The biggest disappointment of PAXUnplugged was Lightning Train. The first past the post scoring mechanic gave the first player a massive advantage without giving later players proper compensation to match.

The game was great, until it wasn’t. I don’t think I will play that again.

If you are looking for a two player, child friendly game, I am strongly considering buying this for my 7 year old.

It’s a good light game for couples, too. It’s not _super_ adversarial.

I was bummed when I learned that Bohemians wasn’t going to be available at PAX Unplugged.

But then I found a vendor who imported it! It is literally the one game I wanted at the con.

It is pretty good, y’all! The most thematic game I’ve played in a hot minute, and the narrative holds well!
