If you’re coming to the Twin Cities in the next couple of weeks and this drawdown really occurs, good luck getting a rental car that doesn’t smell like body odor, piss, and 45 days of a grown man eating nothing but microwaveable soup.

Love the metaphor.

"AI is just like a disease that ended up, as it spread worldwide, causing serious economic issues requiring government intervention. Killed millions, damaged education, lost jobs."

We tried to stop the disease & undo its effects. Just saying.
This post argues AI is having a moment similar to when you heard about some illness in China back in February 2020.

Tech workers just watched AI go from “helpful tool” to “does my job better than I do.” Everyone else is next. Get your financial house in order and lean into what’s hardest to replace
Something Big Is Happening
A personal note for non-tech friends and family on what AI is starting to change.

Oh yes
Something I've noticed with the current state of the "culture wars":

The same aggressive overreaction occurs over even the most benign statements. I've seen people on the right lose their minds over someone simply calling for kindness and compassion, as if such a benign call is an assault on values

Love "nasty piece of cornbread."
She is an empty suit, of course. And an absolute nasty piece of cornbread.

She is also, to my somewhat trained ear, absolutely, positively terrified here. She is either intimidated by the process or deeply anxious about her relationship with her boss. Or both.

But she is terrified.
The question for Baghdad Bondi was, how many of Epstein’s co-conspirators and pedophiles have you indicted or investigated?

Answer: The Dow is over $50K.

I think we should try using reverse psychology re: the voter ID initiative. "This is great! The Americans most likely to have passports are liberals who have traveled internationally and naturalized immigrants! This will hurt poor people from red states!" See if that works

I’m not on TikTok much, but had to make this video of it, 😆:

If you're here by the first Sunday in May, go see the Mayday parade, it involves giant puppets and punk bikes that look like the set of a Mad Max remake that's going to use bikes instead of cars.

Apt description
Honestly I've more been describing this as these people are high on their own supply. But that's the thing, when you're high AF, you think you're invincible, untouchable.

The crashout always hits harder the more high you were, and that's what's going to happen with these people here.

Classy broad!
Was "washed up loser lawyer" one of the insults they pre-loaded in her little "burn book"?

Because I'm not sure it nails a Harvard law graduate who taught con law for 25 years before becoming a congressman who's now the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee -- and, um, likely its next chair?
Pam Bondi throws a fit:

More than 400 people, including hundreds of citizens, were “sorted” at gun point into racial and ethnic groups by 200 ICE agents who fired flash-bang grenades into cars with people inside, pointed guns at children & demanded their zip tied parents not comfort them. apple.news/Ausdx6kWtT0e...
