Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

Very well stated!
staying home doesn't really give you any leverage, since the contest you are actually engaged in is actually coalition politics *within the Democratic party*. I know this sucks because it functionally makes the Dems an LDP or PRI equivalent to everyone that isn't evil or stupid

My good news takeaway is that terrible people have difficulties working cooperatively, so they keep splintering into ever more insane factions
Restore Britain have their first ever councillor, Maria Bowtell, ex-Tory & ex-Reform a longstanding Lowe associate (& an employee of Restore). She told me she "fully supports" Conor Tomlinson's proposal to ban all ethnic minorities from parliament & propose a Restore Britain policy paper on it

ICE using the same ruse that Ted Bundy used to kidnap people should tell you something.
CCTV footage appears to show DHS agents posing as people having car trouble in order to lure a target out of his house before arresting them. The target comes out and starts helping them before 3 vehicles surround the scene. The car "experiencing" trouble then drives off with them.

Just saying the quiet part out loud again. I guess women who can't/didn't have children will be demoted, thrown in the dungeon with trans people.

Silly putty is basically retail quantities of a Dow Chemical sealant.
Friends got together to buy a 50-pound batch of it.
I got a pound for my nephews, and realized on my way to the airport that I had two baggies of plastic putty and an alarm clock in my luggage, but fortunately security missed it.🙂

(6/11) Uber tracks battery life. Former exec Keith Chen noted in 2016 that users with low battery are statistically more likely to accept surge pricing. Uber says it doesn’t use that data to set prices, but the correlation remains a point of regulatory scrutiny. www.npr.org/transcripts/...
This Is Your Brain On Uber
This week we feature Keith Chen, a behavioral economist at UCLA and the head of economic research at Uber. Keith explains why surge pricing makes us nuts and discusses our weird economic choices.

(1/11) If you live in NY, you’ve probably started seeing a new warning: “THIS PRICE WAS SET BY AN ALGORITHM USING YOUR PERSONAL DATA.” This mandatory disclosure went into effect late last year, and it’s the first attempt by a US state to grapple with a new generation of surveillance pricing.
