Utterly appalling. Swift bricks are a simple, effective and cheap measure that will help save these beautiful birds from extinction.
Here's the petition linked in the article:

Sign the petition: Save Our Swifts
Swifts have lost more than half their population in 20 years. A simple £35 brick in new builds could help save them. Labour used to support this – now they’re planning to backtrack. Sign the petition ...

Swifts are amazing. A single swift can fly 2 million miles in its lifetime with a top speed of nearly 70 mph 😳 Yet they’re under pressure as never before. Please do as @hannahbournetaylor.bsky.social asks - lobby your MP to overturn this Govt’s obdurate refusal to mandate swift bricks in new homes 👇

Jeremy Clarkson is scapegoating badgers for bTB and has reportedly slaughtered them all on his land. This is disgusting, cruel, and ignorant.

You know what he’d really hate? If you shared this and signed the petition to end the badger cull. Let’s do it

Last summer’s red mason bees all cleaned up and stored safely until Spring. Not nearly as many as I expected, many tubes sealed but with no cocoons, which appears to be an issue nationally. Still, I have some! Apparently the larger ones are female.

Opened bedroom curtains to see our resident blackbird tucking into crab apples. Usually they wait until end of winter. Perhaps the warm autumn ripened fruits earlier … Amazed I could get this shot through our 24-pane listed window, smeared in dirt courtesy of Storm Darragh.
