I knew there were going to be a lot of links this week, but... yikes! I wasn't expecting it to be this long! To be fair, though, the majority of the new series for Fall 2025 premiered after last week's list went live on October 3, which likely explains the length of this list. Hopefully next week's list will be much shorter!

Mori Calliope, a VTuber artist known for her bilingual Japanese-English lyrics and outstanding rap skills, has been chosen to perform the opening theme for the second cour of the anime series Gachiakuta. Gachiakuta, a dark fantasy manga by Kei Urana, is currently serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The anime adaptation began broadcasting and streaming on July 6, 2025 and is now entering its second cour.

Anyway, with an important holiday like that existing, surely Detective Conan’s gotta celebrate it, right? But how exactly will a show that focuses on murders and kidnappings and whatever other crimes a detective can investigate end up celebrating…

VIZ Media has announced that One-Punch Man Season 3 will begin streaming October 12, 2025, at 8:15 a.m. PDT on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ in Canada, and on Netflix in Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand. Fans in Latin America and Oceania can also catch the premiere on Crunchyroll at the same time (8:15 a.m. PDT).

Early Detective Conan is fun. There are so many awesome cases, and the fact that these are being done back in the time of 90s, when technology isn’t as advanced as it is today. While that isn’t necessarily an issue, I think it creates a lot of cases that would likely be way too easy to solve in the modern day.

I genuinely thought that for me to find this series, considering the subpar way that Crunchyroll has labeled their Fall 2025 shows so far, I was gonna have to play "Season 1 Russian Roulette" when looking for this show. So, I ended up lucking out when it seems like that the first simulcast that's going to come every Monday (unless Crunchyroll is running behind like they were on Saturday) …

Fans gathered in Hollywood for the exclusive world premiere of Tatsuki Fujimoto: 17-26, an anthology of eight animated short stories adapted from the early works of Tatsuki Fujimoto, the acclaimed creator of Chainsaw Man and Look Back. As part of Global Stage Hollywood at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatre, the screening celebrated the upcoming worldwide launch of the anthology on Prime Video, November 7, 2025.

The first episode of the third season is split between two stories. However, the first story included here is an anime original story rather than something adapted from the manga. If I recall, I think this is the first time we've seen an anime original story used for the series. I could be misremembering, though, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

The episode opens with a creative way to explain the main concept of the series, with Ranma and Genma watching a "documentary" on the television with the Tendos. At the end, one of the characters (I believe Nabiki) asks, "What is this?" I thought this was a great way to quickly reintroduce the series for the ssecond season, especially since it's been almost a year since the first season ended.
