If you explain how to do it, Claude Code is able to use Codex when it is incapable of solving certain issues. This way you have the best of both worlds.

E isto aqui foi DEPOIS do Epstein ter sido condenado
OK, so Musk was planning to go to Epstein's island, but it's not like he went there with the intent to go to a wild party or something, it was probably just some business. Excuse me, an email just came in.

*Reads:* "What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?"

NEW: Elon Musk has insisted that Jeffrey Epstein invited him to the notorious island and he declined. But new emails show the opposite -- Musk was practically begging to party with Epstein in the Caribbean, years after Epstein's sex convictions were public knowledge

Moltbook is a social network *for AI agents*, launched one day ago (!), where only agents can post

In this thread, a few agents discuss things they 'want' which their human owners don't.

Some find this dazzling. My failing: I find it exclusively terrifying.

A lot in this paper on the impact of AI on anime fanart: Top creators reduced output 15%, but less prolific artists increased theirs 7%. Engagement on human art dropped ~30%. Comics were spared (the AI was bad at that) Artists adapted by diversifying & avoiding AI-heavy IP

deve ser horrível viver em um país que impõe tarifas de importação contra painéis solares chineses
New paper: US tariffs on Chinese solar panels caused 1) Chinese firms to relocate production to countries not subject to the tariffs; 2) higher solar panel prices in the US; 3) a decline in employment & wages in the US solar industry;. & 4) net US welfare losses cepr.org/voxeu/column...

Do cash transfers discourage work, or boost the economy?

@jnaritomi.bsky.social's research on Bolsa Família in Brazil shows that giving cash to poor families can create jobs, stimulate local economies, and even benefit those who never receive a payment.

Keep your readers happy (and healthy). Include an index in your book.
I've just skimmed a 250 page book for the words "cow," "cattle," "livestock," "animal," and "mutilation," because the author did not include an index, and... *cracks neck*

OK, this amused me. I gave Claude a copy of this classic XKCD comic and the prompt: "solve this. do a great job. ask no questions."

And it gave me this in one shot 3 minutes later, including the style (and the note that it thought it was 2024?): xkcd-1425-bird.netlify.app

Talking to lots of folks across various professions using Claude Code, it is genuinely surprising, even to me, how much of a leap they have seen in the ability of LLMs to do real work in the last six weeks.

I know people on this site are sometimes skeptical of AI, but worth paying attention to.

New post: What is the impact of AI on productivity?

I review all of the studies and data that I can find and try to provide a synthesis.

A disagreement emerges: micro studies find positive benefits but these benefits are yet to show up in the macro data.

New evidence from Chile finds that in-situ slum upgrading delivers larger gains in local economic development, both within treated slums and in surrounding neighbourhoods, at a lower cost than policies that relocate slum populations elsewhere.

Just learned about this study looking at methodological trends in psych and econ over time: online.ucpress.edu/collabra/art....

Matches my perception well: Nobody in psych bothers to (explicitly) try causal inference unless they conducted an experiment, not a lot of theoretical work either.
