VA Secretary Collins just told RM @repmarktakano.bsky.social that VA doesn't have enough clinical employees. Then why are there more postings on USA jobs right now for ICE & CBP than there are for VA doctors & nurses? Why did VA just wipe almost 30,000 vacant VHA positions off its books?

Winter in the north, specifically Maine, is a rough time. Friggin cold, lots of snow, y'know, the normal stuff. But also freezing water and sewage pipes.
I had an appt cancelled 2 minutes prior after already having driven 30 mins.
Her kid's daycare had a pipe burst. Check your pipes in the cold!

Maine had this crap up for vote not that long ago. They were calling it "voter ID". It's as if we never had to prove anything when we registered to vote. Thankfully, it was overwhelmingly voted down. But, now the whole country will have to deal with it. This is awful.
