at one point, i watched a cook county sheriff’s officer (who appears to be in charge) point out a priest in the crowd.
he and a couple officers then went into the crowd , dragged him into the street, and arrested him.

Home Depot 100% could prevent this. Parking lots are possible, but harder. For those local in Chicago area time to start shopping at Crafty Beaver, Ace, & Lowes.
For folks asking if they've made it *inside* a Home Depot yet as the business has clearly just continued letting agents do whatever they want in their lots, the answer is yes. This is from yesterday in Evanston.

Graduate seminar did a deep dive on Thomas Paine’s Common Sense yesterday. At the line, “in America the law is king,” they (14 students from 6 countries) burst out laughing. I've been doing this for 35 years and this is the first time that was a laugh line.

More people need to see details of how our of control the federal government is, there is no reason to repel from a helicopter in the middle of the night to execute (unlawful) civil immigration enforcement.
It feels crazy even saying out loud everything that they're doing but this is all really happening.

If we still have a functioning democracy in 2026 & 2028 and we take power back from the fascists, we need to make sure we are doing much more to protect our system. Going to start using this space to start creating lists of statutes that needed rescinded/amended and other things that need added.
