Honestly, people calling creators the "petite bourgeoisie" makes me want to snap.

really enjoying lots of low to mid-budget films from the 00's. we used to get so much weird shit in cinemas until franchise films really took over and now it's 90% over produced Disney owned IPs from the neck down with too-long runtimes.

The more you get better at Japanese, you will be able to understand and enjoy horror media that would most likely never get translated into other languages. There are a lot of good stuff you're missing out.

this was one of the biggest hurdles for me as a writer to get over the fact that a first draft didn't need to be perfect for submission. used to have VERY real anxiety over it not being ready to publish immediately out of my own worries. but it really is better to just submit and work from there.
Remember, a first draft's only job is to exist
