I am so fucking ashamed of being an American.
Trump on Omar: "She's always talking about 'the Constitution provides me w/ the following.' She comes from a country that's a disaster. It's not even a country. They're good at one thing - pirates. But they don't do that anymore bc they get same treatment from us as the drug dealers. Boom Boom Boom"

Amateur hour in Minneapolis continues, even with Bovino out of the picture.

This is indicative of a broader issue with Trump’s mass deportation push; officers aren’t doing even basic investigations (to figure out things like “is this address a consulate”) as pressure to keep up arrests is so high.

Hey Border Czar Tom “Cava” Homan at @icegov.bsky.social:

You know my name. You know where I live because your agents tailed me home twice. I spent 5 hours today following them and will spend 5 hours tomorrow. Come put me on TV so I can tell the whole world what I’ve seen you do to my neighbors.
TOM HOMAN: “We’re going to create a database where those people that are arrested for interference, impeding and assault, we’re going to make them famous. We’re going to put their face on TV. We’re going to let their employers, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, know who these people are.”

Please examine what body cams *didn’t do* to stop police violence over the last decade plus since they were initially touted as a solution and understand that some of you are now rallying behind a false solution that will be a tool of criminalization more often than anything else.

If this actually happens, I will, not kidding, make a point of getting arrested so that my name and face gets on this list.

And I think so many Americans will do the same that the database will have too many people on it to be used for punishment.

A lot of people like me who thought the Democrats were suboptimal on foreign policy but broadly ok and largely found the far left unserious were handed giant Fell For It Again Awards by the Biden administration
I think the thing that completely broke trust on specifically this is that Biden was actually kinda decent on foreign policy and then just completely atrocious on the major foreign policy issue of the second half of his term out of nowhere

I think the Democratic push to impeach Noem is a good one. It's a good place to start, if not a good place to stop.

One of the nice things about living in Wisconsin's 2nd district is that I can trust that Mark Pocan will be ahead of the pack on issues like this.
146 House Democrats back the articles of impeachment I introduced against Secretary Noem.

Secretary Noem has blood on her hands. Under her leadership, Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good were murdered.

Impeach Noem. Get ICE out of our cities.

Trump's Justice Department has decided there will be no civil rights investigation of the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti, and instead two units of DHS will investigate their own officers and the man they killed.

There's apparently body cam footage of Alex's murder. Do people know this?

This lets you know that a demand for body cams is USELESS and in fact just a way to give more money to the killers.

Reminder of the pattern: when the real trump falters, he is removed from the news and replaced my in headlines by a fake, imaginary trump who is instead doing reasonable and popular things.
Trump is not doing this and the media is lying to you because they want to take him to the dance and kiss

To avoid the possibility Holocaust remembrance might lead to empathy for migrants, Trump's antisemitism envoy claims Anne Frank "was in Amsterdam legally."

In reality, Margot Frank received a summons to go to a labor camp on July 5, 1942. After ignoring this call, they were in Amsterdam illegally.

One armed goon loses his shit at an observer who's backing up, and then several more armed goons tackle the observer to the ground, and then even more armed goons form a protective shield around the armed goons handcuffing the observer for hurting an armed goon's feelings.

This can't be "reformed"

One of the main problems with DHS agents is borne out of a constant history of the same problem with all “law enforcement,” namely that they are held to lower standards of behavior than Joe Citizen, not higher. If I cross the street and push someone who is annoying me, I go to jail for assault.
