This was incredibly cathartic to write, especially with everything going on in my life the last few years. We've leap frogged from one emergency to the next, and 2024 has been the worst. But, healing.

It's been a while since I've written a gift guide myself. Did I do it right?

Today is a day where I wish I could photoshop. I need to put a santa hat on Jace, the Mind Sculptor for a gift guide in a way that doesn't look like I just used Microsoft Paint..

President Trump has called for Democrats to be executed for sedition. The voters expect Democrats to come to the table with a real counter-proposal and negotiate a mutually acceptable compromise. That’s doing politics the right way.

Sometimes I still find it weird to live in Vegas, despite being a local my entire life effectively.

I’m at a coffee shop working at the building where the Amaury Guichon Pastry School is located.

You know, the guy who makes race cars and lighthouses out of chocolate.

Just a normal day I guess

The MTG Avatar Collector Booster Box is back on Amazon, and stacking the Amazon Visa bonus with AMEX/Discover could drop it under $250, which is well below market value and MSRP. https://bit.ly/3Xy8UIb

The lack of respect for fighting games is insane. The best esports player is probably a fighting game pro. The best ongoing game? Probably a fighting game. The best event? It's a fighting game tournament that has an open bracket. And not only do these never win, they're never *nominated.*
FF14 being nominated for best ongoing in a year when I have seen its players do very little but constantly complain about a quality dip, with devs even copping to it, while Street Fighter 6 on a total tear not even getting a nod is making my head spin

I know, I know, Discourse is bad and all that. Can I just take ONE minute to vent? This year's Innovation in Accessibility Award represent the same issue EVERY year with TGA – it's ALWAYS AAA games that have the best marketing.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is a soulless and soul-destroying game that thinks exceptionally little of its players and developers.

Remembering my friend, the late Dennis Wilson today. I remember when he told me how excited he was that Burt let him throw "a little flair" into this solo, since historically Burt frowned on that. He's also playing a mouthpiece I lent him in this because his broke. youtu.be/2O_uGOAJVBw?...

Unless I'm seeing this wrong, Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition is *not* part of Gamepass Ultimate.

It's a $40 upgrade on top of the $30 you're paying for Gamepass for the original base game. Just feels like a miss, @xbox.com

The *cheapest* health insurance for me and my daughter next year is $585 here in Nevada.

And that is with a $111 tax credit.

This is the type of stuff that is going to push me into a government job or something and out of this industry.

they were called "MMOs" once and you found success through lots of single-player content, deep systems appealing to both singletons and groups, support for guild drama, and customer service that wasn't akin to getting a root canal, none of which seems to have made the transition to "live service"
How on earth do you find lasting, meaningful success with a live-service game? Developers answer the "billion dollar question". https://bit.ly/47xnpSv
