Seen today in Clearwater Florida. It was good for a chuckle. All the way home I was singing the theme song- you got a friend in me.

A very faded cowboy Woody from Toy Story (the movie) is hanging on to an equally faded Buzz Light Year. They appear to be trying to hoist each other up to the bumper of a black pickup truck.

NYC Park rangers rescued a young Great Horned Owl. He was treated at Wild Bird Fund for suspected rodenticide poisoning, and sent to The Raptor Trust for longer term care.

A Great Horned Owl is wrapped in a watermelon-pink towel, held between the forearm and chest of a rehabilitator wearing dark blue scrubs and light blue gloves. The owl has seen better days, missing one of his 'horn' tufts and some other head feathers, looking rather scrappy overall. His eyes are yellow tinged with green. His head is both turned and leaning slightly, oddly reminiscent of a portrait of Captain James Cook. His feathers are the shade of toasted granola with accents of cream and dark brown.

FreeMe Wildlife 🇿🇦 admitted an "especially stroppy" Spotted Eagle Owl fledgling named "Eyeball". They put her in a towel burrito so they could treat a small wound on her neck.

A Spotted Eagle Owl is wrapped in a slate blue towel in a burrito-like fashion. The rehabber holds the fledgling upright for the camera with their left hand (in a white medical glove), and takes the photo with their right. The original post says "rehabbers often have to handle admissions solo" which explains the improvised wrapping technique common to a lot of posts here, which enables the carer to take notes, photos, and administer food, fluids, treatment etc. The owl's feathers are mostly grey with a white outer fuzz looking like fresh snow. Her beak is tucked in behind the wrap, leaving only her green-yellow eyes visible, which are expressive, thanks in part to black markings that appear like raised eyebrows.

A tiny Saw-whet Owl is cradled upright in a blue towel. Three hands - each wearing the same type of purple nitrile glove - surround the patient and through the power of deductive reasoning we can say at least two people are present. One hand lightly pinches the owl's legs between their fingers, with long pointy talons emerging from the owl's fuzzy toes like fangs. Fangs of the feet. A stethoscope with a bright-red handle is applied to the owl's chest, looked upon by the owl with cross-eyed astonishment.

Aw, thank you! The MC was indeed a variegated. The CC was a tonal green, hand-dyed by a friend. The colorshift in the green is most likely an artefact from my phone.
