The maintenance on my undercut was getting annoying, but I just found a tiny place literally next to my office to get it buzzed and why the hell didn’t I think of this sooner? Crossing the street at lunch time is way easier than going somewhere after work when I am completely out of spoons.

I have one month of HBO Max for the gay hockey, seems like the perfect time to finally watch The Pitt. So delicious to have Noah Wyle back in the ER. With John Wells! They really got the band back together for me!

I thought #HeatedRivalry made a bold artistic choice not to translate any of the Russian dialogue. Really highlighted Illya’s alienation from his family. Turns out my HBO app was just malfunctioning. Oh well.

Surprising no one, a sautéed shallot makes your soup so much better. Also added some potato, which’s adds some textural variation. I’m going to master split-pea this winter!

Some sort of snafu and the opposing team didn’t show up for the sixth grade basketball game. They are doing a four on four scrimmage with a fourth grade younger brother to even out the numbers. You’ve never seen a fourth grader hustle so hard. This is fantastic.

Finished #HeatedRivalry the book, I think (another) reason it’s so satisfying is it’s hard in the contemporary North American context to come up with a compelling external reason your couple can’t be together. Institutionalized major league homophobia totally works.
