I think it’s pretty clear at this point that one of the main impacts of LLMs is to disrupt thinking: to make it so that far too many people never properly learn how to do it, and then to control the output so there are thoughts that people never learn how to think.

So a while back I was commissioned to do short bios of various rock stars, and they were just about universally total psychopaths, with the huge exception of Freddie Mercury. A lovely man who did good by his wife, his lovers, and his cats.

If you can't afford to pay for books you want to read, getting that book from the library instead of pirating it enables authors to get paid for their work *and* lets you read the book for free. The Libby app is your BFF.
