Got C.Viper to Master.
She's the fastest character I've gotten to Master by a lot, but also by far the hardest character I've played. Her execution is incredibly tough and I feel like I'm not even beginning to scratch the surface with all she can do. I'm going to need so-much-time with her.

I don't really have much to add when it comes to the post on racism in MTG spaces as I was pretty damn fortunate to be around good people in NYC and SCG was fantastic to me.
Most of my low points were on an interpersonal level, specific people that I don't particularly care to bring up again.

There is unfortunately a LOT of homophobia, transphobia, racism, misogyny, and ignorance still alive and well in the Magic the Gathering space as well as other fandoms. Our job as a community is to keep these individuals out of spaces we create. Call them out when you see them. Be the change. ✊🏾

When I worked at a card store a decade ago I watched this grown ass man get pissed at a child because I gave the kid the last pack of the current pokemon set we had.
When he turned to me, I pre-empted him and said "Really?"
I'm pretty sure that same kid became an international champion recently.

One of my most vivid and ugly memories from tabling Archie Comics’ booth at San Diego Comic Con way back when, was watching the floor open on Sat & seeing a tidal wave of grown neckbeard men rush for the Hasbro (MLP) and Funko (Pop) booths specifically. One of them actually pushed aside a child.
They used to do this with action figures, especially Star Wars. One Target punched little holes in the backer cards to stop it. I heard a story of a KB Toys opening to a crowd of grown men, some rolling under the gate like Indiana Jones.

Folks I emphasize as always, if you don't actually show up for the things you want, they stop getting made. Sometimes you gotta be okay with taking a chance on that 7/10 game knowing it's the only way those creators get to keep making the stuff you wanna see
