Off to Hatten Gardens for one last job.
Had a great show at the Jazz Cafe last night. Hung out after the show with friends new & old. Pictured are Luke Haines, Tim Wheeler (Ash) & Bernard Butler late of Suede & many solo adventures. Had a lovely conversation. Then they stood on the sidewalk & mocked my inability to load the van correctly.

Sorry to hear that Hofner guitars have gone out of business. I've had a few Hofner's over the years - and still have my '63 Commitee, that I used all over The Auteurs 'New Wave' Named because Bert Weedon was on the Commitee that helped design it!

This is my kind of fact.
Boppers, hard as it is to countenance, it is longer from the release of Alvin Stardust's My Coo Ca Choo to the present moment than it was from Lenin's death to that seminal 1974 rock and roll happening.

Currently sifting through piles of 'Select Magazine', 'Melody Maker' and 'NME' to see if I was misquoted. I shall sue them for 5 bil each, and i shall close the fuckers down. Ha!

Very sad to say that my old pal Phil Vinall has just died. I'll write more about Phil at somepoint - in the meantime here's a nice piece by Ian from Balloon. Rest in Noise Phil, dear friend.

Well done England for making it to day 4 of the Brisbane Test. This means they are twice as good as they were at Perth. Suberb.

The text on this screen is like an unreleased Fall song.
I'm enjoying reading it in Mark E Smith's voice.
What can it all mean??
I don't understand what is written on the screen in this photo, but it gives me life. Is it Dostoevsky?

It would be even funnier if, one glorious day, their incessant, inane, witless, self-involved mooing was silenced by a grand piano falling out of an overflying cargo aircraft, but it's something.
The Barmy Army spending longer in a plane to watch the first test than they did actually watching the first test will never not be funny

Five ways for England to claw something back;
Deport Zac Crawley
Deport The Barmy Army
Play Test Cricket
Don't allow people called Olly near cricket bats. (The Ollying of English test cricket has had a lasting negative effect, not least on me).
Grow mustaches pronto.

Another awful thing about this terrible *cricket* day. Is that I find myself agreeing with everything Michael Vaughan has said. A bleak realisation.
November 22, 2025 at 11:06 AM
Frankly, I think the whole England team should be interred once they return.
November 22, 2025 at 11:01 AM
I guess the positive of the stupid second batting innings by Stokes and co, is that we surely must be nearing the end of the 'Zac Crawley Experiment'. Surely...surely...

Bleakly amusing that Black Box Recorders 100 million streaming royalties are going towards Sweden's investment in tech warfare in preperation of Putin maneouvres. That's showbiz kid!
