Netanyahu's mouthpiece, Amit Segal, casually admits on Twitter that his country has been holding 1,700 people from Gaza hostage, including children.

Among other things, according to the decision:

- 250 security prisoners will be released.
- 1,700 residents of the Gaza Strip who were not involved in the events of October 7 and were arrested after the massacre will be released.
- 22 minors under the age of 18, residents of the Gaza Strip who were not involved in the events of October 7 and were arrested after the massacre, will be released.
- 360 bodies of terrorists will be returned.

This is - I say this hoping that you don’t know - a publication that has for years been publishing “ancient Israel” and “there is no Palestinian people” stuff - i.e. what the UN SR has called “ideological scaffolding” of genocide. I doubt very much they are reliable on archaeology of other places!

This specific train also contains so many opportunities for my favourite diaspora-Belgian activity: watching people’s faces as they learn that Brussel Centraal is NOT the Flemish name for Bruxelles Midi, because the station that is “in the middle” for Francophones is actually “South” in Flemish 🤷🏼‍♀️

hey @nytimes.com: there is no counterpoint here. There are no credible legal experts who would EVER say that the US military has any right or authority to blow civilian craft out of the Caribbean and kill their crews from afar without any provocation. There is no other side to this question.

"Some legal experts have called it a crime to summarily kill civilians not directly taking part in hostilities, even if they are believed to be smuggling drugs."
