It's now ten days since Oregon's new building code became effective, and it still hasn't been published

I was laughing so hard about the land acknowledgments when Bob was asking for coordinates

(And this does not seem to be a very universal story about the impacts ozempic; just their particular circumstances).

As sad an ending as that would be for the story, that's probably the best outcome. They're still at an age where they could find happiness with someone else.

Saw the new Paul Thomas Anderson movie, “One Battle After Another” last night.

The politics of the movie are not subtle, but in this moment that’s probably what we need. I highly recommend it.

I worked there for a summer 21 years ago, and it doesn’t look like it’s changed much if at all since then

Escape Lounge to a B/C gate departure is a good way to get one’s steps in

Here are how the gates were allocated as of January of this year

This got me curious if any of those planes were at the D gates because the incoming flight had been an international flight that needed to this the FIS… and no. I guess they just needed the gates.

Tuesday’s episode of The Daily was a fascinating listen, but it’s one of those situations where I cannot begin to imagine why the couple decided to discuss their issues with a reporter, even with (slightly) changed names. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

This will be Portland's most high-profile bike lane. It's a shame downtown worker traffic is so much lower post-Covid because this could have been one of the city's busiest bike lanes too. Can't wait to see how it all shakes out.

Ben Bridge’s expansion in downtown Portland continues. A dedicated IWC storefront will be opening this winter, a couple doors down from their new Omega boutique.

The building on Parcel A at 1701 SE Water St, would be the first to move forward as part of the OMSI Master Plan.

Estimated at 100 units at a maximum height of 65', this building will be affordable housing focused on community development with exterior programmed space and and a strong desire to reconnect the public and residents to Portland's waterfront. New pedestrian pathways, extensive landscaping and innovative systems on display are some of the values in the project. Storm water management will be highly considered in the landscaping and integral to the project design. It will be functional for protecting the building and designed to highlight the site's relationship to the earth and water." This is exactly the kind of move that the city should be making during a difficult budget environment.

There’s still the opportunity to do more, but this is a huge change in approach from Parks that should be celebrated.

Great news from Portland Parks. They've made it easier and cheaper for mobile vendors to set up at local parks!

Food trucks & other vendors make public spaces sticky & build community.

Hope this gives momentum to @councilorgreen.bsky.social hot dog ordinance. www.portland.gov/parks/news/2...
