Big thanks to the fine folks at @betakit.com for hosting Ben, the convo, and for sharing this video with us.

Awesome sanity saving idea!
In this age of social media, before we post or comment, it could be much more positive if we remember the acronym for THINK. Is it true, helpful, inspiring, necessary, or kind. It will go a long way to reducing the effects of doom scrolling and might even lower stress levels. I'm just saying.

The condition that Smith connects BC's clean grid with AB, SK and the NWT is a great step in creating the national grid and Wind West.
AB and SK would never agree to connecting wind from the East first.
On, QC and MB will all be easy to get to agree.
Mark Carney managed to trade a pipeline that will never get built for meaningful progress on industrial carbon pricing and electricity interties — both of which will get more wind and solar built.

Remember when people thought he wasn't good at politics? www.nationalobserver.com/2025/11/27/o...

Another stupid, ill thought out plan by the UCP. Again trying to blame and shame a group of vulnerable individuals for NO good reason. That’s pretty much what bullies do.
If AISH recipients were able to find work they’d do it. 1/2
So Jason Nixon says “We are making Alberta a leader in disability supports, inclusion and employment.” As a disabled person on AISH this is an insane statement. These proposed changes will result in more disabled people dying before their time. These changes are cruel and need to be stopped!

"I know the member opposite likes to think himself as judge, jury and executioner, but we do have due process in this province," Smith said.
So that's why she invoked the Notwithstanding Clause to deny affected trans youth the ability to challenge her laws in court, right?
What a fucking hypocrite.

This is what reprehensible looks like. When DS ran in 2023 she vowed Albertans would never pay for health care along with other issues she has since reneged on. Not enough room to detail it here but there will be many, many people who will suffer for her ill thought out schemes. Recall now, unfit

Always grinds my gears when people say "No one would work drudge jobs if there was a UBI"

But even staying completely capitalist, I disagree. If I received a baseline living-wage UBI, and then I was offered REWARDS for drudge jobs, I'd take it! I want to save up for treats and travel and hobbies!
