The good news is—if the financing can be put in place to wean importers off their imports by building replacement cleantech—the transition entirely pays for itself over time since the feedstocks are free.
More than 90% of new renewable power projects commissioned last year were more cost-effective than any new fossil fuel alternatives.

Those renewables projects will save tens of billions of dollars in fossil-fuel costs

Really, who cares if our 🇨🇦Canadian Prime Minister spends any time “negotiating” with a convicted felon who’s spent his whole career lying, breaking promises, cheating everyone he deals with, knowing he’ll never stand by a deal anyway?
Petulant piffleswipe Pierre Poilievre does, that’s who.

I hope your right. Agree we dont need another 🌎 killing pipeline. #cdnpoli
I’m a BCian who lives near TMX pipeline in Burnaby. I am not in favour of a 2nd one to the north coast, especially when tmx is not being fully utilized. I believe this is very strategic move to get Smith to be responsible for the negotiation with BC and coastal tribes

Sad news. 💔 CBCNN a few moments ago had a beautiful tribute to Colleen Jones, champion curler and former reporter with the CBC (for forty years) who has passed away at the age of 65.

I hope this is all correct on Thursday. Right now its the only issue Im offside with my PM on. I dont like secret talks, dont like further climate pollution contribution. The 🌎 doesnt need this. We need more green development. I hope thre is never a proponent. Warming climate too much now #cdnpoli
I think Carney won this one. We get industrial carbon tax and a huge carbon capture program. She gets … a talking point to bring to her leadership convention. She gets no $. She has to find investors and negotiate with BC and indigenous people.
