This machine kills fascists. I recently read someone suggest that games and play were at their core antifascist. I wish it were so, but I don't think that games are inherently antifascist endeavours (war is after all a game)...

One of my favourite shows growing up was V, by Kenny Johnson. In V Alien visitors represents a fascist take-over through democratic means, in the vein of It Can't Happen Here. And the first thing they start doing is demonizing scientists and after a while persecuting them.
BREAKING NEWS: CDC orders mass retraction and revision of submitted research across all science and medicine journals. Banned terms must be scrubbed.
Any unpublished manuscript mentioning certain topics, including gender and "LGBT," must be pulled or revised.
