Now watching WINTER KILLS on the Criterion channel.
Been wanting to see this one for a long time. Don't know if it's good but it has an absolutely murderer's row of acting talent and is shot by Vilmos Zsigmond, so I'm excited.

I don't really go for the horror elements in the movie, and it's not especially funny to me, but I do like the Sam Raiminess of it. It's probably the Sam Raimiest movie I've seen.

Bridges and Warner give perfectly modulated performances for this material.
And I think the Wendy Carlos score is actually one of the best film scores of the 1980s.

Watching TRON on my new 4k disc that I paid a small fortune for.
Sorry, folks, I love this movie.
It's got a deeply silly premise, we know that, but the level of craft is extremely high.
