That essay was pub'ed in 2019 & I STILL interrogate 1st person plural before I use it. Who is "we?" Am I being disingenuous when I use "we"? Am I really in the same community as the authors I'm discussing? Do other people really respond to this book the way I do? When, if ever, is "we" appropriate?

Shout out to Soham Patel at the Georgia Review for making my first-ever review-essay SO MUCH BETTER. Tighter. Cleaner. Sharper. More clear.

People of Illinois, we need your help.

Get your cell phones out – record what you see. Put it on social media. Peacefully ask for badge numbers and identification. Speak up for your neighbors.

We need to let the world know this is happening – and that we won’t stand for it.

Sometimes when my son comes home from gymi he tosses an (American) football around and the thunk of it hitting the grass is so wonderful

You guys, so many Romance girlies are reading "On Tyranny" that they've broken the Goodreads recommendations algorithm. 10/10; no notes.
