That veteran (if he exists) already has care. The shutdown doesn't affect the VA medical care or pay. The man was lying to try to gain sympathy from people who won't check his statement for validity.

Maybe. But if I'm looking into those metrics as a shareholder, I'd also want to know open rates, bounce rates, click rates, unsubscribe and spam report rates. But that may also be because I've seen the backend data on the business side and know big numbers aren't always the whole picture.

I don't understand this as someone who owned a small business. They are paying by the volume of their list for their marketing services. Why would they want to trap people who aren't going to be paying customers? I'd rather have a small engaged list than a huge useless one and get flagged as spam.

If they want to parade around troops for their agendas, they could've at least used the active duty, who they are weaponizing against citizens, but won't be paying next week if the shutdown continues.

Veterans also haven't lost access to their benefits or healthcare. My husband is a veteran, and he literally just had a medical appointment this week. He also still received his monthly check. Active duty military, however, will not be receiving pay next week if the shutdown continues.

I'd ask him why the veteran couldn't access care since medical centers & outpatient clinics are not closed down by the shutdown. If anything it would be due to the severe understaffing & underfunding compounded by this administration.
My husband is a veteran & hasn't lost benefits or access to care.

• VA Medical Centers, Outpatient Clinics, and Vet Centers will be open as usual and providing all services.
• VA benefits will continue to be processed and delivered, including compensation, pension, education and housing benefits
• Burials will continue at VA national cemeteries. Applications for headstones, markers, and burial benefits processing will continue
• The Board of Veterans' Appeals will continue decisions on Veterans' cases.
• Call Centers:
◦ VA's primary call center (1-800- MyVA411) and the Veterans Crisis Line (Dial 988, Press 1) will remain open 24/7
◦ The VA Benefit Hotline (1-80 827-1000) will be available TOP Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET.

I feel like a broken record, but I have to keep saying it over and over again: a farmer bailout won’t do much of anything because the market is gone. There will be no incentive to plant next year.

The bailout will help payoff farmer debt to the banks. That’s all.
