Nature ˸ GoldenValley By AMUAMU This world was perfect to fly around and show off the fabulous Gryphon avatar by @purpzie.com . The OpenFlight system allowed us to fly around the beautiful landscape.
They get an extra, internal pair of Humanoid legs deleted (don’t ask), twenty fingerbones (distal and medial phalanges), three tongue bones, two twist bones, three necklace bones, and two earring bones deleted to make bone count…
My Quest port is JUST “the gryphon, but with certain things deleted” so forking -> GUID refresh -> deleting things = fewest hassles new Quest gryphons.
I nuked my in-Scene Quest version mistakenly, but that’s okay. I have enough room in the optimization space to make a wingy one with flat primaries, so I need to fork the project and modify GUIDs and then reimport and etc and etc
FALSE ALARM all my Quest problems were due to random (load-bearing) things not being copied over properly. Quest gryphon just needs idk man. seems finished. can't be though. I'll keep testing
Need to use VRCFury to move my head and fingers, need to detangle the Quest spaghetti, need to local/sync a few more things on the wingless so it can use the new headpuppet and stay Medium.
The Quest version gets a DIFFERENT bad thing happening to SpinDamp when it gets in a station. Not sure if the difference is due to its SpinDamp being local/synced. I hate everything
got the Quest ones working… almost…! having various problems uploading. Then I just need to test PC/Quest sync x_X and put the wingless & quest ones on a different OpenFlight head/neck thing…
GOOD NEWS! Researchers have developed a new mRNA vaccine that has been shown to suppress abnormal blood vessel growth in the retina, offering hope to MILLIONS of patients with age-related vision loss. The vaccine triggered strong antibody responses that REDUCED retinal damage by UP TO 85%.
I weight painted each of my feathers without any gradient at all, at first, just giving them solid colors (“0.9 to wing hand, 0.1 to wing forearm” would be an example for a feather on the wing hand).
It’s okay if they clip through each other a lot; the goal is for each feather to stay shaped like a feather, and be in the “right spot” for being folded, even if it intersecting many others.
I’m manyblinkinglights on Discord, if you’d like! The secret is to start by doing just the wing-arms, and weight painting your wings “to” a folded position, that results in the feathers all winding up on top of each other when looking down at them.
