It's bizarre to me that Netflix, a company that rose to popularity off the idea of binge viewing, still has no understanding of how important volume is to the television business.

Shows are more profitable when you have a mountain of episodes.

I love the commercial of the lady leaving a bad review for 'store brand' paper plates because she dropped food on her daughter's diorama.

A truly insane fictional person.

If you're still keeping a Twitter presence, might want to finally amputate.
Users are noticing Twitter/X has added a Grok-powered AI image editor that lets anyone edit any image on the platform, including other people’s artwork using text prompts.

Artists warn there’s no opt-out or consent, raising concerns over unauthorized edits and misuse.

It’s not “losing money” any more than air traffic controllers or public highways or street lights or fire departments are “losing money.” It is a government service. It’s not SUPPOSED to make money. It’s supposed to reliably deliver to anywhere in the US, even the unprofitable places.

The USPS faces a tight squeeze. With fewer people using the mail, it’s lost more and more money: $9 billion in the 12 months ending in September alone.

Bring back Willful Suspension of Disbelief in audiences.

I am very tired of people looking at perfectly good graphics and being like "LOL that looks so fake"

It is. No one is trying to trick you into thinking this is real footage. You're watching a movie. It's fiction.

Trump officials will continue to break the laws at the highest level if there continue to be zero consequences for it.

At a minimum, Bondi needs to be impeached, and the Epstein files must be released in accordance with the law.

It's insane to me how many people still use Twitter when there is an identical app not owned by a Nazi who is ineptly using its algorithm to spread hate and disinformation in a transparent way meant to be covert.

Anyway, I worry about this TikTok thing because Ellison is smarter than Elon.

Every executive's attempt to make their product feel cool turns out to either be

A) 'Hello, fellow kids' Meme

or

B) An assumption that some highly specific interests of the wealthy and spoiled execs' children must represent the whole generation.

It strikes me as interesting that there was so much opining about how there aren't movie stars anymore, but the minute the MCU started to flag, the impulse was to run to RDJ and Evans.

Trans rights are human rights.
Henry Cuellar, Don Davis, and Vicente Gonzalez joined Republicans in voting to criminalize trans health care.

The bill passed only 216 to 214.

4 Republicans voted no. If they did too, it would have failed.

Imagining that he was supposed to declare war, but got sidetracked by dementia, forcing them into a hellish loop where, daily, they send him out to declare war but they can't start it because every day he just rambles about like curtains or whatever and wanders off.

This is getting lost in the news cycle, because everyone moved on from the Jimmy Kimmel story.

But this is bad. As you could see in videos of Carr threatening Kimmel, he clearly relishes the idea of being a fascist henchman.

He cannot wait to censor more people.

Dear God, it's even worse than it initially appeared. And it appeared pretty damn bad.
Hegseth repeatedly misled the public about this strike.

The boat was headed for Suriname, not the U.S.
It wasn't carrying fentanyl.
The survivors didn't "radio for backup."

This strike was illegal, and Hegseth is trying to cover up what happened by refusing to release video.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Tuesday that the Pentagon will not publicly release unedited video of a strike that killed two survivors of an initial attack on a boat allegedly carrying cocaine in the Caribbean. https://to.pbs.org/4pZJb8p
