The city should be doing big/creative visionings for neighborhoods in East Portland just as they’ve done elsewhere for decades. Lots of bandwidth gets spent on “resets”, skate parks, street car extensions, highway caps, infills, etc west of 82nd. It’s time to spend some real energy east.

Why are “dynamic, walkable, mixed-income” neighborhoods only suitable up to 60th? Why can’t East Portland neighborhoods have the same opportunities?

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.
