Elites in America have complete impunity, total immunity from consequences whatsoever. It is a neo aristocracy of sorts, which hates knowledge and rewards ignorance. Many elites are not only corrupt, vain, and contemptuous of the masses, but are also stupid and live vapid lives.
Trump on Epstein Files: I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it's the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left.

I couldn’t believe it

The pendulum swings both ways. 2029 is gonna hit these guys like reconstruction

Board of “peace” which makes Trump chairman for life (fake)
The Trump regime governs through spectacle and PR stunts. Their weakness is they always have to be seen as winning. Every week is a new flashy headline which ends up being fake. Beating Russia in a day (fake). Regime change in Venezuela (fake). $2k stimulus checks (fake). Defeating Iran (fake).

Nazis always had collaborators, going back to the very beginning. In every single country they occupied.
Non-white influencers are becoming the cultural leaders of American fascism.

The idea of racial minority Nazis seems nonsensical, and yet it’s very real. Here's a look at why this is happening: plus.flux.community/p/non-white-...

But sending 25 EU soldiers to Greenland isn’t going to cut it. Time for Europe to get serious or go home. The US can no longer squeeze Russia or China. Its getting harder than ever to squeeze the “third world.” But DC believes squeezing the EU, their “allies” will be easy.
January 19, 2026 at 10:22 PM
The reality is that Europe cannot fight a two front war against Russia and the US. It doesn’t have the capability. Their best bet now is to stall for time and try to accommodate one of the great powers. Perhaps a détente with China is in the cards and Canada was an opening salvo

Europe believed that America was “like them” that they cared about human rights and liberalism. But that was always a facade, behind the curtain was 500 years of imperialism, colonialism, and Machiavellian power politics. Europe thought they could reap the benefits of that. Now its happening to them

America essentially provides for all of Europe’s security. After cutting off Russian gas, the US now provides a large percentage of Europe’s energy. The US cutting off energy to Europe now would wreck the continent. Giving up your autonomy post 45 for market access and privilege was a very bad deal.
January 19, 2026 at 10:11 PM
The Europeans are stuck between a rock and a hard place. They trusted the Americans implicitly. The history of US reneging on deals is long—Native Americans, Kurds, Iran Deal. But the Europeans never believed it could be them. They have to shoulder a lot of the blame for their predicament now.
January 19, 2026 at 10:08 PM
Europe does not have much ability to resist a US invasion of Greenland. Besides being completely reliant on the US for security, they are also reliant on the US for energy since they cut off gas from Russia. They’ve invested everything in fighting Russia and cannot afford to fight the US too.

Trump could take Greenland militarily, but it probably means the end of NATO. The US feels the global tides shifting so its moving to cannibalize its allies. China winning the race by doing nothing
New tariff just dropped.

Americans set to pay an additional 10% tax on all goods from Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

It starts in two weeks, rising to 25% by June.

(Aside: A trade war with one EU country is a trade war with the entire EU).

Trump’s net job approval rating right now is actually lower than it was at this point in his first term

The company renamed itself Meta! Massive, in-your-face complete failure of a pivot and they just keep the name change. Its absurd to me. So much of US politics and culture has reached a sort of hyperreality, a fake world where facts and failures are totally ignored by elites

Iran is an Islamic theocracy because of the US. Iran had a democratic government which the US and UK overthrew to install a brutal pro western dictatorship for oil. The 79 revolution was a direct consequence of this. People pretend the government is anti-US for no reason

One year cap until right after the midterms lol
Trump: "AFFORDABILITY! Effective January 20, 2026, I, as President of the United States, am calling for a one year cap on Credit Card Interest Rates of 10%."

Unbelievable
Trump talks about Denmark and Greenland just now: "The fact that they landed a boat there 500 years ago doesn't mean that they own the land."

In Dune Messiah, one of the imperial fighters said that “Muad'Dib rules everywhere.” That is also the position of the United States today. Our rulers believe the edicts and authority of the US apply to everyone in the world. The US believes no other governments have legitimate sovereignty.
January 9, 2026 at 4:25 PM
If this is true, then the entire deal is what Maduro had wanted all along? To end the US sanctions while keeping his government in power? Venezuela gets to sell oil to the US at market rate, and gets to buy US goods? Venezuela sold oil to the US until 2019. That’s really it?
He has just been informed by a weak voice in his head.
January 8, 2026 at 12:01 AM
Or maybe you get a civil war. But that’s not really a win either.
January 7, 2026 at 12:48 AM
Any serious military engagement with Venezuela though, would risk unacceptable costs which could destroy Trump politically and the GOP for years. Their best hope, perhaps, is keeping Maduro’s government and making the deal Maduro offered. But given everything, that’s not really a “win” now is it?
January 7, 2026 at 12:21 AM
There’s no easy path to victory for the US here. In fact the political goals have not even been defined. And that’s the point…if you don’t define political goals and don’t have to pay costs (causalities) then its easy to move on to some other shiny object in a few weeks

The US is powerful and can kill or kidnap lots of people outside of the great powers. That is much different than the effort it takes to create pliant puppet governments and steal their resources. Bush had the political capital and material to put troops on the ground. Trump no longer does.
