FYI I cannot see messages on this app. Ohio passed a dumbass law and now Bluesky wants me to give info to a third party vendor to “verify my age” to even see who messaged me, which I’m not doing. So, long story short, don’t message me. I won’t see it.

This is great. Very few people want to go to jail, get disbarred or die for this regime. Make them fight you. They will cave.

Not to defend Olivia Nuzzi, who broke every rule in journalism and promoted a charlatan to his current position. But it's incredibly telling that she will lose her job, but RFK Jr. gets to stay in his job despite the reports of his drug use, his affairs and his defenestrating of public health.

This is an insane paragraph.

This is at the very least, literally, not "indisputable". The lower-court ruling you're overturning said otherwise, and there's written, public evidence the DOJ said do this for racial reasons!

"Indisputable" just means "I don't care to deal with contrary evidence."
Alito's (brief) concurrence says the "impetus" for the Texas map was "partisan."

This is a response to the lower court that struck down the map, saying there's evidence of racial impetus. A big evidence was that the DOJ wrote to Texas explicitly saying they should redistrict for racial reasons.

Simply amazing that the Supreme Court declared an end to legal race discrimination in the affirmative action case two years ago and now allows overt racism in both immigration arrests and redistricting.

Using race to help minorities? Bad. Using it to discriminate against them? Very, very good.

Wexner handpicking the former Abercrombie CEO who is facing human trafficking and interstate prostitution charges from the same office that charged Epstein somehow flies under the radar, too.

I gotta say, when a Republican governor suddenly comes out in support of state supreme court expansion *right* after that court implements an electoral map preserving a blue-leaning district in a deep-red state, but says it’s not “court-packing,” I am…skeptical www.sltrib.com/news/politic...

James Buchanan blew up the Union in defense of slavery and then let his own Secretary of War assist in the lame duck preparations for treason, and Andrew Johnson was a drunken white supremacist who effectively revolted against Congress, and still neither of them were ever so nakedly lawless.
This is the most corrupt, lawless administration in the history of the United States and there’s no close second.

Billionaires & multimillionaires face a choice: give up luxuries that are catastrophic to the environment (e.g private jets) or keep the luxuries & consume more resources than God while the peons run out of clean water.

It’s not difficult to see where they’re landing on that choice.

My take: The fights over immigration are mostly about sublimating anger and fear over the environment.

If we do manage to hold onto democracy, it’s important for our chances of success that the “NYT Opinion Section” pundit class get completely put out to pasture.

We really, really cannot get our shit together w the world’s most pompous out of touch assholes at the helm of political dialogue.

Their tax rate has been cut FIVE times in the last 25 years.

They are paying more because their INCOME has increased astronomically, where the income of the bottom half has
