#printpromptmonday this week is #foliage ! Trying to challenge myself with some fast carving so I made this trillium and printed it on some gouache brushstrokes. #reliefprint #printmaking

This week’s #printpromptmonday is #inprogress so here’s a #linocut I’m carving. It’s a big departure from my bird-centric work but I needed something in my life with a bit of whimsy!

Coming very late to #printpromptmonday with this big installation I made in 2019, Lesser Bodies. It’s about the collapse of chimney swift populations in the US. Not in the water, but I was inspired by the motion of water circling a drain.

Ok so I just finished reading @stephenking.bsky.social ‘s The Stand for the first time and I’ve realized Dump is basically a manifestation of Randall Flagg. Sociopath leading through fear and harsh punishment. Stranger than fiction indeed.

It’s #printpromptmonday and today’s theme is #flipped! Here’s a linocut I printed using the same block twice on one paper. They’re starlings, a beautiful, smart, fascinating bird that’s also invasive where I live (in the US).

He’s not a king. He’s not even a tyrant. He’s just a petty con man surrounding himself with yes men. Don’t crown him with your words.

This is so gross. Time to stand up to this orange bully, America.
What the actual fuck?! America, it’s time to rise. When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty!

This should terrify everyone. Title I funding provides free school lunches, teacher training, & more. The government is essentially saying, get rid of the programs we don’t like or we’ll take away your lunch money. Kids in poor rural areas stand to lose the most.
