There was not, never has been, an era when Republicans actually, in their hearts, *supported* cleaning up the commons at the expense of corporations. They are for private gains at the expense of the collective -- always have been. It's just, they used to have to compromise; now they don't.

I love how the outrage here is that federal employees refused to let Musk’s minions from DOGE — a bullshit private body that has absolutely no right to access this info — have open access to federal systems.
