The first Tigers catcher to homer in a postseason game since the legend himself, Lance Parrish (also #13) in Game 5 of the 1984 World Series?!?

cleared Chronos twice in Hades 2 today, first with the axe and then with the sister blades. This game is incredible

Thank YOU for making the game! Such a satisfying little playthrough. If I’d owned it as a kid in 1997 I would have played the heck out of it. It nailed that modern retro vibe perfectly. Loved the Kirby and Wario Land influence, but it was its wholly unique thing. 🐸🤠

Everyone go support @metagamemike.bsky.social 's delightful GBC game. It's so charming and well-designed. And the music is BANGIN'.

Absolutely met then exceeded all expectations. Instantly on the Metroidvania Mount Rushmore, no questions asked.

People have talked about the combat, level design, bosses, set pieces…but man, the dialogue in this game is not getting enough love. Phenomenal writing, on top of it all.

the Turtles in Time orchestra hit is so fascinating to me. how did they make it sound slippery?

Despite hearing how strong of a finish this game had, I somehow did not anticipate just how strong of a finish it would have. Like, Tears of the Kingdom-levels of finale. This game was a delight start-to-finish and only got stronger as it went along. One of the best 3D platformers ever

Master Ball rank two #TCGPocket seasons in a row, and this time I did it entirely with Magcargo. It works shockingly well in the Suicune meta, since it relies on an empty bench.

Played a little DKR at MAGWest and I’ve been unwinding with it at home since then. Big nostalgia game for me, and I think I actually kinda kick ass at it

In Donkey Kong Bananza, Pauline's idle animations evolve over the course of the game as she learns to be more comfortable around DK. In the beginning, she looks around worriedly. After Sublayer 300, she starts ruffling his hair, and after Sublayer 1400, starts tickling him.

I downloaded the game partway through the season and still got there. Under the gun a bit, but I got there.

Abandond game #5: Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core

Meh combat, and the mission structure in this game is sooooo boring. Quit the game after having to watch that roulette wheel one too many times. Watched the second half on Youtube. Looks like they did some cool things later in the game. Oh well

Abandoned game #4: Dustforce

Love everything about this game. Would have played it to completion...except the advanced maneuvers in the game were literally just making my wrists hurt. With a different controller I might be able to handle it. No other game has done this to me, not even Melee.

Abandoned game #3: Terranigma

Great soundtrack, great concept. The story just couldn't really get its hooks in me. Got distracted at some point and just didn't boot it back up. I've done this several times with this game, too. This was actually my furthest attempt.

Abandoned game #2: Banjo-Tooie

I've beaten this game before, probably twice, but every single time I play it I lose steam a little over halfway through. If I hadn't played B-K immediately before playing this, I probably could have finished. But the collectathon just wore me out. BK is better btw

Abandoned game #1: The Plucky Squire

The visuals and writing in this game are so good. The 2D/3D mechanic is a great idea. Unfortunately, the game itself falls flat in the area of actually being enjoyable to play. I might go back and finish it at some point, but I've got 3 chapters left and idk

I've got my thread of games that I've beaten since the start of the year, but I also have a little list of games that I've abandoned over the course of the year, too. I'll drop those here with brief reasons why
