So, if we let Trump overturn the 2020 election, would that have been his second term? His current term would become his third term and would become invalid, and he would have to leave office now.

They have so enshittified (hat tip to Cory Doctorow) an organization that every qualified person once wanted to work for that now they have to go begging.
DM me? We used to get hundreds of highly qualified applicants for a single job posting. Good prosecutors are increasingly hesitant to work for this DOJ.

The funny thing about a certain type of angry conspiracy guy is that they’re literally being confronted with an elite paedophile ring and a tyrannical government at the same time right now, and because it isn't being done by the people they wanted it to be done by they’re all being pussies about it

Have I just missed this flaw in our system all along? If the judicial branch makes rulings concerning the actions of the executive branch and the executive branch just says FU, then there's nothing to be done by the government. The executive branch is the only enforcement arm.
NEW: It's not just Minnesota, judges across the country are calling out ICE for violating court orders with regularity.

It grieves me that my governor & both my US senators & my attorney general in the beautiful state of Tennessee *all* vouch for Musk & 47. In the case of Lee & Blackburn, I worked with their children.
So if I’m understanding this sequence correctly, from Thanksgiving to Christmas 2012, Elon Musk was essentially pestering registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to throw him a wild party on the island.

Dear Nashville Public Library, I realize that getting reopened after the ice storm is hard but, dude, I'm running out of books and I have good ones on hold.

So, Turning Point is planning to stream a white people halftime show for the Superbowl on X. Isn't that just what X is now, a perpetual halftime show for white people?

Just visited with Liam and his father at Dilley detention center. I demanded his release and told him how much his family, his school, and our country loves him and is praying for him.

Why do grocery stores stock honey wheat bread? Nobody wants it. The whole bread isle is picked clean during a storm, except for 200 loaves of honey wheat bread. People would rather go hungry than eat that shit. It just sits there like the onion bagels.

Reminder that, as of the latest reports, Liam Ramos is still in prison in Texas - now for 5 days.

His parents are legal asylum seekers with no criminal record.

Just staggered by the complete moral void of not even *pretending* to wait for more information before pivoting to “the opponent of the state deserved it.” It is so insanely depraved. Soulless.

For some reason, very few people these days will stand up and say it, but: the US federal bureaucracy is one of the great wonders of the world, staffed with incredibly diligent people who do their jobs well and care deeply.

Trump's destruction of the federal apparaus was a historic crime.
The Purged
Donald Trump’s destruction of the civil service is a tragedy not just for the roughly 300,000 workers who have been discarded, but for an entire nation.

Why aren't we asking, "WHY ARE THERE NO OBGYNS IN ALABAMA?"
Dr Oz: "Alabama has no OBGYNs in many of their counties, so they're doing something pretty cool. They're actually having robots do ultrasounds on these pregnant moms."

Not going to link to something so irresponsible. CBS News reported on the NCAA basketball gambling scandal with photos of players from some of the teams involved, but some of the players in the photos were not the ones named in the indictment. I hope one of them sues and ends up owning CBS.

remember when Scottie Scheffler got arrested in Louisville before the PGA Championship for an incident that was strikingly similar to Renee Good and yet everyone was pretty much in agreement that the cop was an overzealous baby?
