“The chair of the Nobel Peace Prize committee… [told] reporters that the deliberation process for choosing the awardee prioritizes courage and integrity.”

No way could Trump win, then.

Maybe he should brush up on his physics or chemistry. Nah, he’s too stupid to win in those categories either.

If you watch Fox Myths and Bullshit — and believe some or all of what they spew — you’re likely a moron who won’t appreciate this.

The rest of us, though, can enjoy a real belly laugh.

Why the frack isn’t every single decent Christian pastor in the US coming down against Brian Sauvé?

Pro tip to any pastors who read this: if you want your Christian beliefs to be taken seriously, you can’t afford to tolerate guys like Brian claiming to be a member of your fellowship in Christ.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

My opinion is that, in any remotely rational, critical thinking society, the author of this website would be seen as either a cynical comic or batshit crazy.

If this ‘hole is serious he’s delusional and should be committed. If he’s playing politics he should be forced to spend his fortune justifying his actions.

Frank Herbert observed government and religion traveling in the same cart is disastrous.

Let’s not test that observation

A wonderful side effect of awarding Machado the Nobel Peace Prize is that she is a Venezuelan opposition leader, fighting tyranny.

Since Trump also opposes the Venezuelan gov’t, he can hardly diss her, can he? Of course, he will anyway.

But I bet the award burns him. And that’s fantastic!!!

The arrogance of these terrified and power mad fools — thinking that they alone know god’s will — always astounds me.

But not as much as the large numbers of greater fools who believe people like this jackass actually do know god’s will.

I’m in Portugal (which only recovered from fascism in the 1970s) watching the USA descend into authoritarianism.

This is not who we are and not what we can be.

Reject the fascists!

Can’t stomach the Democrats? Fine. Expel the fascists from the GOP and refocus it on freedom and liberty.

Someone should remind those idiot GOP attorneys general of the old phrase “the worm always turns”.

They are arguing it’s okay to use federal power against states that limit freedoms. Like the right to vote. Or the right to keep church and state separate

I just love having my tax dollars go to bail out those idiot welfare queen farmers that backed Trump. Let’s follow GOP orthodoxy instead and let ‘em all starve and lose their farms because they obviously can’t make it on their own.

The second Civil War has already started:

Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas:

“You can either fully enforce protection for federal employees or get out of the way and let Texas Guard do it,” he wrote on social media. “No Guard can match the training, skill, and expertise of the Texas National Guard.”

Exhibiting massive mental derangement in front of every single military leader of any significance or power does not strike me as a wise move.

Good to see our Wall Street nitwits are at it again!

Lending creates money. Money is regulated because it's a community asset. Only the regulations don't extend to businesses engaging in this kind of idiocy.

But don't worry. The Masters of the Universe will protect you. Not :(

This op ed gives insight into why people fight to avoid cognitive dissonance. It’s because they want to hold onto their tribe, which was, and is, a great human strength.

But we’re also intelligent, so we can and do override our instincts when we need to.

And today we most definitely need to.

I’ve read all of his works, I think, and it’s one of his best early works. BTW, Scudder first appeared in For Us, the Living, which was first published posthumously. In it, Scudder lost.

Let’s hope >>that<< history repeats itself 😀

It’s beginning to look like Nehemiah Scudder showed up 12 years late.

And if that name means nothing to you, google it. You’ll be horrified (i hope) about how this dangerous fusion of government and evangelical Christianity was forecast almost a century ago.
