I think it would be fun if writers who love language started intentionally writing more strangely as AI flattens written "content" into a mono-voice. it would cool I think if writers responded by focusing their individual efforts on cultivating a really unique voice that's hard to copy

I actually have lots of takes but my takes more closely resemble a Greek taxi driver than anything productive so I keep them off of here for everyone else’s sake

One of the cornerstones of fair use is that the original market of the copyrighted material must not be damaged. If any of these artists had their art used to train Midjourney, there’s a meaningful case here - but I’m not a lawyer.
Freelance illustration gigs drying up. Ad agencies using Midjourney instead of hiring human artists. Costume design turned over to AI wholesale. Good work vanishing.

The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?

I deleted my post about Kirk but the more I think about it the more I regret doing so. We are in a world where our government and economic elites have more firepower than any manned and trained militia could ever hope to match. But opinions can be violent, deadly, and most of all, powerful.
