Two very young cygnets, probably only a few weeks old, glide across calm blue water, their soft beige down still completely fluffy rather than sleek like older juveniles. Their tiny grey legs and translucent feet paddle just below the surface, leaving gentle V‑shaped ripples behind them as they keep close together, giving the scene a tender, quietly curious mood.
