I'm old enough to remember when Poilievre's camp said an unknown staffer put all those misogynistic tags in his social media content.

These unknown staffers sure do do stuff.

This was your chance to use your high percentages grandpa.
Trump: "We had to get all these countries worldwide to lower their prices for us, and help us lower our price. And what they did is their prices went up by double, triple, and even sometime four and five times."

Reading lots of interesting comments here. As someone driving an EV for 2.5 years now: I enjoy driving it in the warmer season, but it’s not ready to be the sole option in Canada. I’ve had numerous issues. 2 weeks ago, in the middle of nowhere in -22C, it didn’t turn on. No reason. Had to be towed.

This is from a 2012 study, I believe.

Pro wrestling fans were found to lean left (or at least be aligned with Democrats) almost as much as NBA fans. The difference being that pro wrestling fans tend not to vote, which sucks.

The guy couldn’t even write! What is this? Does it mean “I’m with Trump, lots of opportunities”, or “With Trump there are lots of opportunities”?
Epstein: you well?

Richard Merkin: Fair ..and you?

Epstein: all good with trump lots of opportunity

Honestly! Teach your kids it’s ok to lose!
Your tax dollars at work, America. FBI agents working around the clock trying to prove Trump won Georgia in 2020 instead of investigating wealthy fraudsters and con artists because they don't get prosecuted anymore since Trump took office.

When people complain that the Davos speech jeopardizes the CUSMA review, this is my main response. Trump administration doesn’t look at negotiations as being between two sovereign nations. That’s dangerous, and that’s what PM Carney tried to hedge against by implying we can walk away.
"There’s no talk about a mutually beneficial relationship; Canada, Trump says, is not even a vassal state. Its very existence is dependent on the US, which means it is dependent on him personally. 'Canada lives because of the US,' he says, like a domestic abuser sneering." — @paulwaldman.bsky.social

This is so unprofessional! When did Carney say or imply such a thing?! The New World Order was clearly defined as the world in which the great powers dictate what the less powerful should do, through economic coercion! Vassy’s rhetoric is so dangerous in this highly sensitive context.
Vassy asks Scott Moe a loaded question that mischaracterizes Carney’s “New World Order” comments in China.

Odd that CUSMA is the most talked about topic of the day, but majority of people don’t realize this. Even reporters! They just panic every time this admin threatens us with the “renegotiations”. Worst that can happen is walking away which requires a 6 months notice & has 0 chance of happening.
For all the folks that are in fear of the review of the CUSMA, you obviously don't realize, if no changes are agreed to, the current agreement stays in place until 2036. The only possible way around that is if one of the parties serves six months written notice to end the agreement. #cdnpoli

How did Trump select this ethical man in the first place is beyond me.
Q: Bessent criticized you going to the Lisa Hook SCOTUS hearing as 'political.' Your response?

POWELL: First off, I don't respond to comments by other officials, whoever they made be. It's just not appropriate to do that.

If he ran on an anti-Trump campaign & won, it means he’s doing what we want when he calls out your pedo-president! His approval ratings get a hit each time he goes a bit compromising/diplomatic towards your toddler-in-chief.
You have no idea. We’ve stopped visiting family & friends because of Trump!
Bessent: "I'd encourage Carney to do what he thinks is best for Canadians, not his own virtue signaling. We do have a USMCA negotiation coming up. He rose to power on an anti-American, anti-Trump message. That's not a great place to be when you're negotiating w/ an economy multiples larger than you"

“Trump called him”

I believe this was the main reason that Carney’s team made the China deal look more than what it was. The US talks had stalled after the last Trump tantrum over a provincial ad (🙄), and this was a shock to re-establish the communication channels. A nice leverage in negotiations.
“To be absolutely clear, and I said this to the president. I meant what I said in Davos,” PM Carney said to reporters on Parliament Hill, Tuesday

When asked specifically whether he did retract parts of the speech, as Bessent claimed, Carney said “no.”
