Rejoin the EU, give me back my FOM. #FBPE.

This hit me .....so so true : this has peeled back the skin on those lies
A simple rule of thumb: Any politician who proclaims to be pro-EU while avoiding supporting re-entry to the Single Market is afraid of mentioning Freedom of Movement. Many have been playing that game for 10 years, and pro-EU voters are wise to it. Anything without Freedom of Movement is still Brexit

Tim Davie has resigned - is that the first Brexit benefit ?

UK govts can find over £1000 bn to bail out the banks but not £3bn to get the NHS thru the next year

Our taxes will go up because the UK has highest debt interest in the G7. Much lower interest rates in the EU which we could have had. Higher taxes , another Brexit benefit

Our parliamentary system is past it's use by date, fptp , pmq s, an unelected house and the whole public-school bear pit is no way to run a modern democracy.

If a random former prince can get away living rent free in a 30 bedroom publicly owned property then what other shambles are there in this part of public finances ? ...while we have 4 million children living in poverty ?

We flounced out of the EU on the say-so of politicians who lied to us. And what a total shitshow that’s turned out to be. The polar opposite of what they promised. Now the call to flounce out of the ECHR. By the same people. Telling the same lies. Has the country been kicked in the head by a horse?

I do wonder if the future backlash against white America will be thunderous ...

This petition has just passed a million signatures.

Compulsory ID will put far too much power in the hands of the Government. Even if you think you can trust Starmer (?!) just consider for a moment how a Tory or Reform Government would abuse that power.

Rock on Zoe , absolutely right ...
Ok. They’ve pissed me off.

I’m back to tell you 3 things about ID cards:

1. Migrants ALREADY HAVE biometric ID cards & govts have been trying to digitise them for years w repeated fuckups & failures causing complete chaos - they don’t work, you do not want that system for you.

I've been Labour my whole adult life, but I can't disagree with this.

Reform are indistinguishable from the National Front in 1995. And Labour are indistinguishable from Tories in 1995.

That's not a progressive option. That's the other thing. It's complicity when we need radicalism. It's failure.
"Polanski is adamant that Labour no longer deserves to be thought of as progressive.

"The Labour Party is so dead and gone in terms of being a progressive force. You don’t need to be in the Labour Party: @greenparty.org.uk time is now.”

Labour vs the left
While Keir Starmer focuses on the threat of Reform and the populist right, is his real problem a resurgent progressive politics?

For 56 minutes Sky News and BBC News interrupted everything else and carried a Reform UK feed live, uninterrupted, unchallenged. The stream spluttered, froze, pixelated - dozens of times - still they stuck with it. FOR ONE HOUR.

This is an editorial choice. No other party gets this coverage. ~AA

Absolutely spot on ....
Very odd watching BBC News talking about the Lib Dem conference and mentioning how the party has struggled to break through in the media like it's nothing to do with them.

Time to leave Nationwide...
@nationwideuk.bsky.social As a loyal customer of #Nationwide, this is disappointing news.

I'm sure other customers will have similar feelings.

Did Nationwide use savers' money? If so, how much went to support #Farage #ReformUK?
