Reply is the mind-killer. Reply is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my reply. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the reply has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

a year ago i wrote a story that went viral over here about how republicans could create a de facto national care ban for trans medicine

to stop it, democrats would have to hold the line in funding talks, and staff in congress told me they were unsure if they would

today, they stopped it
Will Democrats Let the GOP Gut Trans Health Care?
Donald Trump and Republicans may try to ban funding to companies that perform trans health care. Some fear Democrats won't stop them.

Feels like if there’s a 7 day waiting period to visit ICE detention centers, maybe all of the functional Congress folks could go ahead and start scheduling for next week and every day after.

There should be a rule that if you are a Known Sports Poster you can say things like “holy fucking shit” with zero context but if you are primarily a Known Politics Poster that gets you like a two day ban

Well this looks excellent! Having traumatised myself with an element of work I was doing with records, I'm now VERY conscious of the risk to myself and others when dealing with these materials. Sadly I have a meeting clash for this, but you should all book!

That's the whole point of my conversation here.

Economic realities are changing as we figure out how to make energy more cheaply. Cheaper energy makes certain kinds of recycling more viable.

Renewables offer us a way to close the loop. That's what's important right now. Tomorrow's possibilities.

A real thing I’m thinking about this morning re: the bus thing last night is that a Best Bus on I95 probably has at least one person for whom introducing police presence would be worse. As it was happening, I kept thinking “why not call the police?” despite myself. Meditating on that today.

We had endless articles and TV clips about Biden's mental capacity but silence about Trump's obvious unfitness when he says he's going to start a war with Denmark over Greenland because he didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize.
Not the sort of letter committed to paper by a well man. "Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace"

Turns out not winning the Nobel prize was a severe narcissistic injury for Trump.

What you’re seeing below is called narcissistic rage.

The FIFA trophy probably made it worse. The board of peace is him trying to compete with and supersede the prestige of the peace prize.
Trump’s letter to Denmark demanding Greenland is one of the dumbest fucking things I’ve ever read in my entire life.

I thought it was fake at first.

He’s insane.
