Elemme is a female fox upright from Fleuragne (fictional France) 26 at the start of the series, she is married to Andim. She was and still is the primary initiative taker between the two of them, frequently convincing him to go to things he otherwise wouldn’t. Sociable but not overly extroverted, she enjoys chatting with others and going to smaller social events, but she doesn’t feel the intense need to like a traditional extrovert would. Her demeanor is generally bright and often playful Becomes close friends with Mepria after the latter’s arrival in episode 2, bonding over both missing home and being culturally and linguistically displaced, even though Elemme chose to do so willingly. Worked as a translator at various embassies in Fleuragne, where she and Andim met when he was diplomatically visiting. Now she works as part-time translator for Fleuragne’s small embassy in Denali when needed, while also beginning to work as a fill-in teacher for school children. She can speak Fleuragnais (French), Wallaesh (English), and Krentsch (German). Shares her husband’s moral alignment and strength of conviction about ending all preferentialism, oppression and lingering colonialism, regardless of whether it’s humans or uprights committing it. Though she is not as socially abrasive about it. Loves the snow and cold of Denali, though she admits she does wish it had more fleursoir or “french things” available, and insists the french bread in Denali’s shops is not up to the true standard of home. Spends both her own and her husband’s money buying sweets and pastries, or the ingredients to bake them, and bringing them to orphan care schools that otherwise wouldn’t have any. Wants to adopt a couple after the war, as she and Andim can’t physically have any. Is reflexively fearful of Andim flying aeroplanes. Also harbors a quiet but inescapable fear that Andim might actually want to die in the global conflict that is coming.

Ursa, Andim combating nausea while training to be a biplane pilot in secret, and Andim seeing his wife Elemme again after being away for weeks. Andim is a young man from the nation of Denali, 26 at the beginning of the show. He is the son of his nation’s governor, and has had a mostly privileged life, as well as even having an unofficial position of government and diplomatic authority from both nepotism and their country's small population. Introverted but not shy. He is perpetually ill / nauseous to varying degrees as a result of incurable illness, and visibly appears so, along with appearing tired from lack any proper sleep due to a mix of his illness and more so his stress over upcoming events. Married to Elemme, a female fox Upright from Fleuragne (fictional France) As he’s become an adult, he’s grown zealous about bringing an end to oppression of Uprights (anthros/furries) by humans in nations where it occurs, and vice-versa, that of humans by Uprights in the rarer case of nations where such occurs. Just as much so wants to see the end of occupations and colonies that lingering empires are still clinging onto. Resigned to existing in the shadow of his father’s permanent disapproval, which he interprets from their consistent conflict, usually a result of Andim failing or refusing to act or see as pragmatically as his dad would desire. Andim is torn inside and pre-emptively self-condemning, knowing a global war is inevitable but finding himself in some part actually wanting there to be one instead of not, because of his dreams it could result in liberation for at least some regions, or even imperial collapses. While he dreams as much, he knows that dream is delusional, or at least he’s been led to believe so. His country, Denali, is an amalgamation of Alaska, Yukon & British Columbia. Their world is technologically equivalent to the early 1920s.

So far AI is causing me more work.

One of my main responsibilities is to use a database to find certain things. This database used to have humans look at the webpage of a thing and then write a description.

Bad AI descriptions have led to an increase in false positives I need to sift through.

By and large, however, the allegations against the other social media platforms are less detailed than those against Meta. The internal documents cited by the plaintiffs allege: Meta intentionally designed its youth safety features to be ineffective and rarely used, and blocked testing of safety features that it feared might be harmful to growth. Meta required users to be caught 17 times attempting to traffic people for sex before it would remove them from its platform, which a document described as “a very, very, very high strike threshold." Meta recognized that optimizing its products to increase teen engagement resulted in serving them more harmful content, but did so anyway. Meta stalled internal efforts to prevent child predators from contacting minors for years due to growth concerns, and pressured safety staff to circulate arguments justifying its decision not to act.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
