@hankgreen.bsky.social nailed it: a comprehensive future of EVs is inevitable but in America, with trucks, it will take longer and will probably require an intermediary eREV step. Dealers are not incentivized to sell BEVs. For small cars, SUVs, and anything passenger, EVs already win.

@hankgreen.bsky.social nailed it: a comprehensive future of EVs is inevitable but in America, with trucks, it will take longer and will probably require an intermediary eREV step. Dealers are not incentivized to sell BEVs. For small cars, SUVs, and anything passenger, EVs already win.

I’m glad I trusted my notes (and review of the opinion directly) over ChatGPT 5.1, which confidently told me the opposite holding of a case on appeal to that state’s Supreme Court.
At least it fessed up when I called it out 🤪

What are they meant to do? Their ICE trucks are their profit center. Theres no pretending anymore and Farley is more honest than most—they are woefully behind on EV now and will happily oversee regulatory rollback while stomaching this kind of shitty rhetoric.
The CEOs of both Ford and Stellantis, who are there to celebrate the rollback of vehicle emissions standards (which will drive climate change), are standing right behind Trump as he makes these racist comments.

New media is less disclosed and uptight about payola than before. I feel for folks trying to do it right. Worked for TFL for a hot minute when I first moved to Colorado, then Out of Spec, and can confirm that YouTube isn’t an easy business.

The fact that the anti EV crowd ignores the issue of local emissions is batshit. Here in the front range of CO local air pollution is killing us. Also, remote coal plants (worst car emissions scenario) are still more efficient through EV motors than combustion engines.
