This witness is afraid the government will now come for her.
You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.

We all saw a handful of masked men drag an American to the ground, beat him and fatally shoot him, in broad daylight on a street in America. Only 17 days ago we all saw a masked man fatally shoot an American, in broad daylight on a street in America. These men work for the president. He sent them.

Reactive abuse. That’s what has been unfolding. It’s intentional. To fully understand what is happening, it is critical to understand the psychological manipulation or psyops at work.

The volume of disinformation, misinformation, lies, hearsay that Fox News is "conversationally" pushing right now is staggering. It's psyops.

Seems significant that at a critical moment in the press conference from Minneapolis that Fox News cut away saying it “lost the feed,” yet the conference continued uninterrupted on other outlets. The matter-of-fact address from PD chief & emergency management director was damning for the admin.

Here, at home, in own communities and abroad, this administration is already amassing a body count of extrajudicial killings.
Per this report ICE has detained several witnesses
ICE attempted to order local police from the scene of the Minneapolis shooting, but the police chief refused and instructed his officers to preserve the crime scene.

Oh, please: this member of Congress means “bad” for his party, “bad” for the president and mostly “bad” for him. His primary concern is not for the child. Not for the lawlessness,
depravity that caused it, that led to a mother being fatally shot in the face. This guy is concerned about his…career.

Yesterday's hearing with Jack Smith, Republicans didnt once try to challenge him on the merits of his findings. Their only argument was if Jack Smith spied on members or if he had a witness when he signed his oath. Eric Swalwell was right when he said they are lucky republicans aren't under oath.

I’m convinced that if you reported events that started 24 hours before this performance and wrapped 24 hours after, there’s a book and a movie worthy of comparisons to any Greek tragedy/comedy.

“We will modernize its operations, refocus its content away from woke distractions that syphon morale…” Parnell wrote. The note came one day after The Post reported that applicants to Stars and Stripes were being asked how they would support the president’s policies.

Things a dictator does.
Inside the effort to shield Stars and Stripes from Pentagon control
The Pentagon criticized the military newspaper as “woke.” Now the outlet’s leaders — and some members of Congress — are trying to assert its independence.

@status.news is consistently great. Reports on what matters, does it well and frames the context exactly right. Here, the opening reporting about the @washingtonpost.com reporters stress juxtaposed against Will Lewis & execs at Davos is indeed the just-right split-screen to show that contrast.

For the love of god—there is no foreign policy…only pathology. Keep trying to put what Trump does into conventional normalcy and see how that works out for all of us.

Might be worth reporting out why Apollo Global Management, Cox Media Group and Cox Enterprises might be incentivized to frame it this way.
This is how Axios sums it up, by the way, if you're curious if anyone has learned anything.

Call your reps. Let them know that if they vote for ICE funding, you will not vote for them ever again.

Representatives need to feel the heat. NO on ICE funding. No excuses.
So the House is going to vote TOMORROW on the DHS funding bill that includes funding for ICE.

There's a real chance we can get Dems to vote NO on any bill with ICE funding to sink it.

Once it goes to the Senate we likely lose this chance.

24 hours. Go.

Would be a whole lot easier on all of us if he just abided by the law and released the Esptein files, but nope, instead he’s waging a war here in our own cities against our fellow Americans, and doing all he can to spark one abroad, even with our allies. Whatever is those files is bad for Trumpey.

This DHS memorandum says that the DHS General Counsel's office has adopted a new position that the Fourth Amendment allows entry into the home to make an arrest just based on an administrative warrant.

I would like to see that argument.
