The anti-vaccination movement is largely to blame for the continuing measles outbreak and the fact that the U.S. is going to lose our measles elimination status.

Until RFK Jr. is removed from office, things are only going to get worse.

@jimalwine.bsky.social and I wrote about here:
The US is on track to lose its measles elimination status in months. RFK needs to go.
Canada has lost its measles elimination status and the U.S. is likely to be next. These failures are the result of the anti-vaccination movement, bolstered by the appointment of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. ...

Five corporations control 90% of the US media market.

Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today.

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

A handful of companies control the pharmaceutical industry.

The evidence of corporate concentration is everywhere.

“Adrenal fatigue” was invented by the wellness industry.

It’s a fake diagnosis.

If you’ve been given a diagnosis of “adrenal fatigue,” your symptoms are real, but that diagnosis is not.

Strict school vaccine mandates work, and parents don’t game the system − new research

He said “no amount of mercury should ever be injected into a child” & urged a global ban on thimerosal-containing vaccines.

Good thing: no child IS injected with mercury.

Alternative medicine isn’t just a mishmash of pseudoscientific approaches, but an organized ideology.

It’s a body of longstanding recurring ideas about health that continue to ooze through our culture and that are commercialized and sold to us as wellness.

The anti-vaccine movement has the same talking points now as it did in the 1800’s. It’s always been a rejection of science, scientists, and progress, with a soupçon of paranoia.

Below is a slide for a talk I’m preparing that illustrates the identical strategies. I have more examples, too.
