The Guardian joins the chorus pretending a Gaza peace deal was possible because of Trump's "juggernaut" personality.

The truth: without US weapons, Israel would have been unable to wreck Gaza and commit a genocide.

The US could have stopped this from day one, had it wished to.

The title, from @medialens.bsky.social, is powerful.

It can be applied generally on most topics. "He says, she says" is not journalism. "False balancing" amplifies extreme voices disproportionately when not challenged. An avenue for propaganda.

The BBC continues to describe the genocide in Gaza as a 'war': even after a UN commission of inquiry described it as genocide, along with numerous human rights organisations and genocide scholars, including Israeli experts.
