Best cook I ever worked with was a 16 year old stoner idiot savant type; he was the “shop kid” and his mom was the bar manager. Anyway he left because he thought he’d get promoted faster elsewhere based on his natty skill and merit. Anyway he drives for Amazon now

I used to work as a line cook and young guys would always ask for job advice, I always said they should think about whether their dissatisfaction is with this specific job, or with the industry. If it’s the second, you’re not gonna find different elsewhere
