The Legendary Axe concept mockup. Been a while since I made one of these. Research was tough. I have no connection to the game or the turbografx-16 whatsoever, but the final boss being a weird and unsettling merger of confused cavemen held together by an eldric mass was captivating.

yeah these sites were great. you're telling me I can enjoy classics without downloading anything??

ofc I discovered proper emulators, but like. I think I asked my mum to pay for winrar bc of the nag popup. it was only weeks later I found out you can just. Close the pop up. You don't need to pay.

Slightly related, but I want someone to do a proper history piece about how there is a non-insignificant number of people who's first exposure to NES games isn't from emulation, but low powered browser sites.

I've had a go playing Wind Waker on NSO and my GOD does it have latency. It feels like I'm pushing a button and it takes like minutes for the action to be reflected on the TV.

I don't have any experience with GC titles, but I'd imagine they don't have as much latency normally...?

there's masterpieces on the switch that you can sink hundreds of hours in and still enjoy with high replayability value at incredible prices, and then there's 1 2 switch, a game still sold for US$49.99, which is a game you enjoy for about 6 minutes before you find it boring

Did you know your MacBook has a sensor that knows the exact angle of the screen hinge?

It’s not exposed as a public API, but I figured out a way to read it and make it sound like an old wooden door.
