The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is way too long and too incoherent, with lots of head-scratching moments. Music was good though. The first two movies were stronger. Yojimbo was the best, of course. #filmsky

So uh, I’ve seen this movie. It doesn’t end well.

Google keeps pushing Gemini, and they put a Gemini button on Chrome, and they might have Gemini reading all of Gmail, and I’m just tired of it all and I think I’m going to switch my email to iCloud.

Shit like this is going to result in a Republican Governor. DO SOMETHING
We are monitoring the situation in St. Paul and working to understand what unfolded. We received no heads up from federal authorities on this operation.

While we are always willing to work together on public safety, that is clearly not what this chaotic situation was about.

My experience in working in capitalism was pretty bad. I remember spending six months trying to get a computer powerful enough to handle my job while certain other people in the company made millions. I’ve been in city government the last three years and it’s what work is supposed to be like.

Most of the programs and/or websites I like on computers nowadays are the ones that reject capitalism and just directly add value. Wikipedia, lichess and libre office for example. I just found Organic Maps and it’s pretty good. Now I just need an AI free windows browser.

Google kept redirecting me to its app when I tried to find information so now I switched my default search to DuckDuckGo.

I already just use the wikipedia app for most things but not everything is there.

Target is spending a fortune to remodel their stores hoping to boost sales. Meanwhile I did a delivery order for 12 items and 3 were out of stock.

The entire US economy is propped up by a product so toxic and insidious that everyone has to go on a weekly scavenger hunt just to remove it from products they're already using.
heads up, gmail has a new setting automatically on that allows their a*i to be trained on your emails so make sure to turn off the 'Smart Feature' checkbox in your settings

Ebert gave Troop Beverly Hills a 2 and said it should be mean. I liked the warmth of it and I’m giving it a 4. Not everything has to be serious. #filmsky

Ahead of the holidays, consumer and child advocacy groups warn against AI toys
The child advocacy nonprofit Fairplay issued an advisory on Thursday warning people against buying AI toys this holiday season. It's not the only group.

Modern mass culture, aimed at the "consumer," the civilisation of prosthetics, is crippling people's souls, setting up barriers between man and the crucial questions of his existence, his consciousness of himself as a spiritual being.

I just watched Thelma. It treats seniors with a respect not seen very often in the movies. It’s funny without being gross, and the problems in it are relatable. 4/4 #filmsky

I had high expectations because Better Call Saul is already my favorite show, but Pluribus might even be better.

I watched Stalker. I like slow cinema because so often the visuals are impressive, and you have time to look around and process everything. This film is a visual masterpiece and a mystery and it asks some interesting questions. 4/4 #filmsky

Turned away from the MN DFL event due to a bag policy that didn’t appear anywhere in the invitation.

The suggestion was to put my bag in my car. I took the bus

I’m curious how many people were turned away due to other bags (bike bags, groceries, diaper bags) and didn’t have storage options

a chair of a congressional district in the DFL is facing homicide charges, and Richard Carlbom is unwilling to call for her to step down from her leadership position. this should be disqualifying.
Asked directly about Cyndy Martin and he gave an absolutely bullshit answer that said nothing and amounted to that he’s going to let it play out in court.

A Fistful of Dollars is a good movie, but not the masterpiece that Yojimbo is. Also somehow magically being a faster shot isn’t as impressive as the cleverness Yojimbo’s main character needed. 3.5/4 #filmsky

Peacock cancelled every show I watched there except one. So I only subscribed for one month to watch Poker Face season 2. And now that got cancelled too and there’s no longer anything I would watch on there.

New Outlook can’t do basic stuff like drag and drop an attachment to my accounting system, accept or decline a meeting, or remind me of the reminders I set. I kind of like it otherwise but these are deal breakers.

David Mamet made a movie that’s just called Heist. Gene Hackman is in it. It’s very complicated. You never know which twist will be the last. 4/4 #filmsky
