9-yr-old Ukrainian Sasha Paskal has won gold&bronze medals at the All-Ukrainian Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition "Black Sea Cup"

In the summer of 2022she was seriously injured by a Russian strike and underwent a leg amputation

They have fired the staff of the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report and 70 Epidemic Intelligence Service officers, who are disease detectives that respond to outbreaks around the world.

I cannot emphasize enough how dangerous it is to dismantle our disease surveillance infrastructure.

When leaders say "there are more important things to focus on" than the current pandemic, they are saying that there are more important things to focus on than brain injury, organ damage, long term disability in kids, immune dysfunction etc - and that sounds totally absurd if you think about it

I support trickle-up economics where people doing important work to keep society supplied and running are well remunerated in the hope that a little of their wealth will trickle up to provide managers, politicians, lawyers, investors, speculators etc with the basic necessities of life.
